Voting Absentee
Apply To Vote Absentee By Mail
or or call the registrar’s office, 757-727-6218, to have a form sent to you.
Deadline to apply: Your request for an absentee ballot must be received by 5 p.m. 11 days before Election Day to receive a ballot by mail (Friday, October 24th).
When will I get my ballot? The Hampton registrar will begin mailing absentee ballots to applicants 45 days before the election.
Deadline to vote: Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Election Day (Tues, Nov 4th) and must be received by noon on the third day after the election (Fri, Nov 7th).
👉All absentee ballots require a witness' signature. You can also hand deliver your ballot in person to the registrar’s office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day (Tues, Nov 4th).
